Back to the Future

You have to love J. Peterman...

Classic Square Neck Black Dress

"Someone once said, "It's never safe to be nostalgic about something until you're absolutely certain there's no chance of it coming back."

True, there's a lot about the 50's we don’t need back, like telephone booth stuffing, panty raids, the Cold War, but I suspect you won't mind this classic coming back.

Doris Day wore a version of it when she played the "innocent" and tried to take Cary Grant's mind off himself.

Fonzie was first smitten with Pinky Tuscadero when she wore it.

Your Mother left her poodle skirt behind, snuck past her parents complaining about 50 cents a gallon gasoline, to hear some rock and roll.

You'll think of something.

Classic Square Neck Black Dress (No. 2596). Upper calf length in a fully lined smooth cotton sateen. Square back and front produces anything but square effect on its victims. Gathered fan shape sleeves frame arms. Further details: Invisible back zipper. Lots of pleat action front and back. Don't forget those bows. Demure. Charming. Sexy as all get out. Dig it?

Don't forget to load "Rock Around the Clock" on your iPod."

I had never heard of J Peterman except on Seinfeld.

Is this life imitating art or vice versa?

Lovely dress.

J Peterman is for real oh Clever one.

In this case, the little black dress (and the paisley scarf minimized below it) are pretty darn fetching!
